Great informative Paleo video

Don't the title of this video mislead you. It doesn't actually debunk the paleo diet at all. It does prove that the paleo diet may not be possible. Things have changed. Paleo foods they way they existed simply do not remain. What we can do is do our best to replicate it.

Cotton candy grapes. Natural, non-GMO

I was shopping for a healthy snack yesterday at my favorite Publix. The produce manager was walking around offering samples of cotton candy grapes. I heard this and immediately went straight to him to get one. Popped it in my mouth and baammm! Cotton candy flavor explosion. I purchased some and enjoyed about a half a pound and have away another half pound to every person I saw. They are awesome! I looked into how these are created and I found out they are not made by some unnatural chemical bath process. They are naturally made by hand cross breeding different species of grapes by a farmer. Not bad! Try some out. You'll love em!

Paleo pork taco with mushrooms

I didn't intend this to be a taco in the onset. I first grilled up some pork chops. These were two packs of thin Publix pork chops. I seasoned them with some garlic, olive oil, cumin, black pepper, onion powder, and rosemary. I sliced the pork chops into thin strips and sliced the raw mushroom. I took whole romaine lettuce leaf and filled it with the pork and mushroom slices. Enjoy like a taco. The lettuce has a familiar crunch like a tortilla shell and since I miss tacos it was a nice meal.

Wow! Honey crisp apples. Go get one right now!

Go to the store right flippin' now and get one of these! Mmmm honey crisp apples, oh boy, by far, hands down, the best apple I have ever had. They have organic ones at Publix and they are delish. They have whatever ones at another store and they were equally delish. Amazing apples. Try one, trust me! Only $3.49 per pound.

Sunbutter. Almond butters only competion.

As a paleo dieter, I do not eat legumes thus I do not eat peanut butter. I could eat peanut butter straight out of the jar with a spoon and did on several occasions. BTW Peter Pan Honey Roast was the best for straight out of the jar goodness. But the sun has set on peanut butter and I's day. And a new sun is rising and it is making sweet sweet butter... Sunbutter! Sunflower seed butter.

It is a minimally processed seed butter which only has 4 ingredients. Sunflower seed, dehydrated cane juice, salt and natural mixed tocopherols to preserve freshness. According to wikipedia "Tocopherols (or TCP) are a class of chemical compounds of which many have vitamin E activity." It actually helps reduce free radicals in the body so it's not a bad thing. Again, this is probably not pure paleo through and through but I allow myself the tiniest leeway.

I love both varieties of the Sunbutter. They have a creamy and a natural crunch. Both are so good. You get the familiar peanut butter taste with a strong roasted sunflower seed flavor. It tastes a lot like eating roasted and salted shelled sunflower seed with peanut butter. I mostly eat it with a spoon but goes so good on apples and bananas. A tablespoon or two add to a hemp protein shake with almond milk and banana make a delicious and powerfully nutritious shake. Try a jar, you'll like it I'm sure.

Almond butter. The sinful little delight

I love almond butter. It is amazing. I could eat peanut butter by the spoonful back when I ate whatever I wanted. Almond butter is probably not the most paleo food but it is a great replacement for fried legume butter. I was a fat guy so I had a love affair with the food I ate. It is hard to not eat the foods I used to love but this almond butter stuff does wonders to stop me. I am leveling off and craving bad foods less and less and effectively I am even eating almond butter less. I'd rather eat a little too much of accepted but empty calorie foods than to be cheating and eating bad foods. It is found in the Greenwise section at your Publix. My Publix carries five or six varieties and vary in price from $5.99 to $17.99! I have yet to try the all natural raw organic almond butter for $17.99. I am going to one day soon and I will review it for you!

Have any requests? Perhaps a Paleo food you need me to find or review? Let me know and I will be glad to write up a post on it.
